Too hot to ride during the day. Too far to make it to Speyer in the morning. No air conditioned hotel rooms in Speyer. Time to stay put for a day until the weather cools.
We visited the palace in Karlsrule this morning after sleeping in. Just a quick trip up the street. Then we packed up, checked out and headed for the other side of town and a different hotel. We couldn't stay another night at this one. It was booked for the night. Just eight miles, nearly all of it via the green space trail we used the day before. It put us a little closer to Speyer, maybe a mile or two.
They let us check in at 10:30 am! Wow! Day consumed with reading, video making (http://youtu.be/oxssfzYFdN0), sleeping, grocery store trip and the BBC. Homemade salad for dinner. To bed early. Off for Speyer tomorrow.
