It is pouring rain today. Rather than slog through it for five hours with rain gear and umbrellas we are taking the day off to hide from it . . .
As we walk along we periodically come upon signs like the ones you see below. They contain a quote from someone, always in Italian. We stop to take a photo and then translate it. They are always inspirational and we now search along the sides of the route eagerly anticipating the next. A friend of Ricardo’s creates and hangs them. In the past few days we are seeing two to four a day. I didn’t translate them, that way you can have the joy of discovery for yourself.
